Rescue dog’s afraid of everyone, but when she realizes everything’s going to be okay… Wow.

0

Edie was one of these dogs. She had been brought into a shelter and her fur was filled with mattes. Edie was so scared to be in the shelter that she was deemed un-adoptable and slotted for euthanasia.

Luckily, a kind person noticed Edie and decided they would not let the shelter euthanize this scared little dog. With the help of Hope for Paws, Edie was brought into the vet for an examination.

Once she realized that the people there were there to help her and she felt safe, she calmed down and turned into a loving, amazing dog.

As the video shows, a shelter can be a scary place – so it is important that adopters remember this and not overlook dogs, like Edie, who just need a good hug and proper care.

Rescue dog’s afraid of everyone, but when she realizes everything’s going to be okay… Wow. One of the most touching moments I’ve ever seen.

They Released 14 Wolves In A Park. But No One Was Prepared For THIS. What Happens Next Is A Miracle And Proves That We Must Take Care Of Our Amazing Planet.

In 1995, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, along with Canadian biologists, captured 14 wolves in Canada and placed them in Yellowstone National Park, where they had been extinct since 1926. Over the next few years, the number of wolves rose, but that was the least of the changes that took place in Yellowstone.

The effects were more striking than anyone could have expected. The entire ecosystem of the national park transformed and it went so far that even the rivers changed. How could this have happened? Watch the clip and marvel at the amazing way in which nature works.

Man Who Admitted To Killing Dog Sentenced To Just 4 Days In Jail

A BILLINGS, MONTANA, MAN WHO ADMITTED TO KILLING DOG; ANOTHER FAMILY’S DOG WITH A CANE, WILL SPEND JUST FOUR DAYS IN JAIL FOR HIS CRIME.
The dog killer, identified as 21-year-old Anthony “A.J.” James Allen; killed a small, white mixed breed dog, “Joker” in an apparent fit of anger.

The dog is a mixed breed including Pomeranian, Dachshund, and Beagle.
Witnesses reported Allen “was yelling and cussing and had killed the dog,” court documents state.

He hit “Joker” with a cane twice, then kicked it. Joker’s owners dispute the number of times, saying they were told Allen struck the dog as many as 20 times in the head and side. Joker was staying at Allen’s step mother’s house at the time of the incident.

After killing the dog, Allen left the scene. Officers located Allen some time later where he admitted to police he kicked the dog and was informed Joker was dead.

Individuals who have learned about Allen’s crime have expressed dismay and outrage that he faced only a misdemeanor charge and short jail time for killing a dog in such a brutal fashion.

On Monday, Allen was sentenced to one year of anger management classes; $1000 restitution, four days in jail, and cannot be around animals.

A FLORIDA WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY STARVING HER ADOPTED DOG, WHOM SHE CLAIMS SHE WAS “TOO BUSY” TO CARE FOR, REPORTED THURSDAY’S NBC 2 NEWS.
The woman facing a charge of animal cruelty is 20-year-old Alexandria Drew of Lehigh Acres; and the neglected adopted dog is “Richter,” a border collie who was adopted from the Humane Society of Sarasota County; six months ago.

Drew tried to pass off her emaciated dog as a stray when she surrendered him to animal services on September 13; but the truth came out when a scanned microchip linked back to her as the true owner.

She offered a pitiful excuse for her dog’s malnourished state – according to Fox 4 Now; Drew stated that she was “too busy with work” to care for her adopted dog; and she opted to take him to animal control rather than to the Humane Society because she could not afford the $30 fee for surrendering.

Drew’s poor judgement resulted in an arrest and charge.

The malnourished dog has been taken in by the Humane Society of Sarasota County and he is expected to recover.
